GUWAHATI, Jan 20: Airports Authority of India participated in the 1st International Summit & Expo on Start & Stand Up North East held from January 17 to 19 at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre, Guwahati. The expo was organised by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India. The AAI pavilion in the Expo was inaugurated by Sanjeev Jindal, Regional Executive Director, AAI, North East Region in presence of senior officials. The pavilion mainly highlighted the achievements, its functionaries, and the core work of AAI as operations, maintenance, development and construction of Airports in the country.
In the AAI pavilion, the highlights of upcoming airport projects and future ready airport terminal building were also displayed. A 3D model of the upcoming New Integrated Terminal Building of the LGBI Airport was also put on display.
Further, the Green initiatives that AAI has undertaken at all its Airports were greatly appreciated by the guests mainly Foreign Delegates from Embassy of North Macedonia, Israel and Zambia. Indian Aviation. UDAN- Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik, the flagship programme of Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India was also depicted at the pavilion focusing air connectivity in the North East. The Start-up Stand-up expo basically focused on promoting organic products of the region and showcasing the excellent agriculture output of the farmers.
