DIPHU, Aug 20: With its primary objective to “serve the people of the hill district by providing good garments in all segments at a minimal price”, Bazar India, a growing premium lifestyle company, opened its first outlet in Diphu on Saturday.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by zone head, Bazar India, Mithu Chaudhury and chairman cum managing director Sushil Karva among others.
The outlet was inaugurated by Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) chief executive member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang in the presence of senior government officials of the executives of the company.
With this the number of the retail outlets of the company has gone up to 60 in the country while it is 13th in Northeast and 9th in Assam.
Clothing items for ladies and children, men, home furnishings, household goods, games and sports items and many others are available in the store.
“From Day one the response has been good and the people here are honest,” the manager of the outlet Sanjiv Rana said.
He further said, “We will hold a draw for Durga Puja in which the first prize will be a bike, the second prize will be a refrigerator, and the third prize will be LED TV and so on”.
Appreciating the fashion sense among the people of the hills district, he was optimistic that the people would be greatly benefitted in terms of fashion and budget.
He also said on the first week a flat 25% discount was given and in the second week 25% discount would be given on T-shirts.
The outlet has employed 45 local youth in various segments of the business house. Stating that the company has branches in Itanagar, Aizawl, Imphal and Guwahati which are running successfully so far, he further informed that the company was planning to open its next branch at Dimapur.
With innovative designs, concepts and products, the company plans to bring in the latest trends in fashion and clothing to the apparel market. The group has planned to open more outlets in hill states of the northeast, Rana added.
