GUWAHATI, Feb 25: All Indian Oil retail outlets in Assam will be selling BS VI fuels from April 1. The year 2020 has been declared as the year of digitization for Indian Oil with the launch of a unified mobile app for fuel needs of customers. It has also started giving e-receipts to customers during refuelling.
Indane cylinders can also be booked through WhatsApp now and along with refill delivery confirmation via SMS, Indian Oil also sends a feedback link to domestic LPG customers seeking his/her feedback. Not only this, to promote cashless economy, digital transactions are encouraged at Indian Oil Retail Outlets.
On the other hand, Indian Oil’s indigenous INDMAX technology to extract additional LPG from crude has been recently implemented in Bongaingaon Refinery which will boost the LPG production in the region from 72 TMTPA currently to 300 TMTPA by the end May. Additionally, to augment Indian Oil’s existing infrastructure, many new Retail Outlets and lubricant channel partners have been commissioned in Assam. A new grassroot rail fed depot is also coming up at Moinarband, Silchar at an estimated cost of INR 502cr.
Various CSR projects have also been planned for the year at an estimated cost of INR 4 crores. Few of the prominent projects in progress are providing Ambulances at Guwahati & Agartala Railway Station through Red Cross Society for free movement of patients from Railway station to city hospitals, Manhole cleaning robot to Guwahati Municipal Corporation in place of manual scavenging.
