The government pointed out that in the midst of the festive season, there is a likelihood of an increase in the number of people moving from one place to another.

In this context and also in view of detection of a new Covid-19 variant the Omicron, the government said everyone should continue to strictly adhere to Covid-19 appropriate behaviour like compulsory wearing of mask, maintaining social distancing, regular hand wash with soap and water or sanitizer, avoiding crowded spaces and close-contact settings.

In addition to Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, the government advised everyone who has not yet been vaccinated to get Covid-19 vaccination at the earliest. It asked the people to avail door-to-door vaccination drive without any delay adding eligible beneficiaries may also get vaccinated at the nearest health facility.

Those who have taken the first dose and are due for the second dose should also get the second dose and complete the vaccination schedule.
