Guwahati, 31 Aug: The All Assam Ex-ULFA Co-ordination (AAEUCC) Committee asked all the nationalist organisation to keep calm and not to create any havoc among people here on Thursday. Addressing a press meet, Bhaskar Kalita, president AAEUCC said, “we condemned the recent Nagaon incident and would demand the Assam govt to take strict action against those who are behind such communal violence in the state.”

When asked about his stand on NRC, Bhaskar Kalita further added, “there should be a head office of NRC in Assam and five zonal offices in the sensitive areas of the state. The Register General of India should visit the state for regular investigation. Govt of India must appoint zonal officers in each of the five zonal office.”

The AAEUCC demands Assam government to give responsibilities to organisations so that NRC updating process should not be misguided by any unscrupulous group.
