Indian Army organises free medical camp

BORGAON, Nov 16: As part of Operation Sadbhavna, Red Horns Division of the Indian Army conducted a free medical camp for the populace of remote villages of West Karbi Anglong district.

Army Camp, Hamren of the Red Horns Division conducted free health check-up and provide medicines at Umpanai, West Karbi Anglong.

The camp provided assistance to the residents of Umpanai, Rangjangphong, Rongchok, Birsinki, Umsawai, Nepali Basti, Umkachi and villages in the remote hill areas. The camp turned out to be of great help as it provided medical aid to 525 villagers.

The beneficiaries included people from the weaker section of the society consisting of senior citizens, women and children.  A medical team of qualified specialists from Indian Army were present and provided the best medical assistance and medicines to the patients attending the medical camp.
