Awareness campaign held at Jakhama

KOHIMA, March 22: In order to focus attention on clean water and the importance of rain water harvesting, 164 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H) NAGA observed the World Water Day on Monday by organising various programmes at Loyola School, Jakhama. The various events organised on the day were Awareness lecture on water conservation, Drawing Competition, Movie screening and Open house quiz competition. The campaign aimed at spreading awareness about clean water under the theme of ‘Valuing Water’. During the lecture, regimental medical officer, 164 TA NAGA emphasised that water is an essential building block of life and at present Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene are global concerns and priority areas in the international development sector.
