KOKRAJHAR, Sept 15: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Engineering Council of India (ECI) and Bineswar Brahma Engineering College (BBEC) in Kokrajhar on Saturday to train unemployed on various trades in BTAD region and lower Assam districts.
Dr P R Swarup, director general of Construction Industries Development Council (CIDC) attended as chief guest to announce the MoU with BBEC to set up a nodal centre to train unemployed youths in the northeastern region. Dr Swarup and principal of the BBEC have exchanged the signed MoU in the presence of officials from ICT and Indian Army officials which brought an encouraging situation on the occasion.
Dr Swarup lighted the lamp to inaugurate the day which witnessed participation of experts from all the institutes of north east/Assam. The day discussed elaborately on drone technology, concrete technology and trenchless technology.
The ECI and CIDC have announced that BBEC is become a nodal centre to offer free of course training as per training scheduled among the women, unemployed youths across the region. The centre has been termed as employment oriented training and kill development programme for ST/SC/OBC/Women, unemployed youth and ESW of society for 2000 persons under CSR initiative of Airports Authority of India(AAI) for north east(NE) region.
