JORHAT, Oct 3: Believers Eastern Church, Jorhat Archdiocese resort a cleanliness drive in the campus of Sub Divisional Civil Hospital, Titabar, Jorhat on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Monday. Archbishop Juria Bardhan, Fr. Shibu John, Vicar General, Fr. S. Singson, Fr. Pele Marak, Deacon Robinson Tilming, Habil Hembrom, Simon Topno and among others the staff members of Church and sisters of Seminary participated in this Swatchh Bharat Abhijan.
Dr. Ranjit Bhuyan, the Superintendent I, Dr. Beena Bordoloi, Superintenden II and other staff of Sub divisional Hospital wholeheartedly cooperated with the cleaning drive and appreciated the commendable service of the Believers Eastern Church.
While participating in the cleaning drive, the Archbishop Juria Bardhan said that Swatchhata is the mark of progress and prosperity of a society and it was the dream of our father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi and mission of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is solemn duty and responsibility of each citizen of our great nation India to remain clean and help others to remain clean.
It should be mentioned that Believers Eastern Church under the leadership of Metropolitan Dr. K. P. Yohannan, is engaged in serving the society in the field of education, health and philanthropic activities throughout India and the Church considers it as a privilege to be part of the lives of people of the nation specially the poor, deprived and marginalised sections of the society as well developing the women, children and youth of the nation.
