BISWANATH CHARIALI, July 2: The 89th birth anniversary of eminent poet and a lyricist of assimilation Haribhakta Katowal convened by the Biswanath district committee of Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha (ANSS) in association with Biswanath Town Committee of ANSS was held in the conference hall of Biswanath Jnan Bharati School on Sunday with Hem Kumar Goutam, president of Biswanath district ANSS in the chair.
Dr Chinta Mani Sharma, working president of ANSS central committee graced the occasion as a chief guest who recalled the contributions of the legendary writer and highlighted on the life and works of the poet of global repute and eminent lyricist.
Hari luitel, retired headmaster of Bapuji HS graced the event as an appointed speaker. Chandra luitel, former president of the literary body also addressed the gathering. All the proceedings of the meeting were carried out by Ram Dahal and jamuna sarma, general secretary and secretary of the district committee respectively.
