People have got taste of black money from Modi’s health schemes, says CEM
DIPHU, Oct 27: Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang on Saturday claimed that the BJP will retain power in the Centre after 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
“In last general elections Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised of bringing back black money from Swiss Bank to India and to fill the accounts of every Indian with Rs 15 lakh. The Prime Minister may not distribute the money in cash, but certainly the people have got the taste of that money by availing various health schemes,” Ronghang said while addressing a BJP workers’ meeting at Howraghat Shankar Mandir Playground Saturday.
“I am overwhelmed by the massive turn out of women of Howraghat who came covering more than 10 km in a procession. It is a clear indication of BJP coming back to power, be it the Town Committee or Parliament. The opposition Congress and regional Autonomous State Demand Committee (ASDC) will far behind us,” the CEM said.
He asked the women SHGs to take up piggery and poultry farming through government-sponsored programmes.
In the meeting, MLA Joyram Engleng highlighted various development schemes taken up by BJP-led government in Assam as well in Karbi Anglong.
He said that Howraghat town will soon get street lights to be executed from 5th Finance Commission award. Roads between Howraghat to Pan Engti village and from Ampukhuri to Uttor Borbil and the 5 km stretch of Ok Kereng road will be black topped. There will be many more development schemes to come in the coming days under BJP led government, he said.
Earlier, in his introductory speech Howraghat MAC and EM Khonsing Rongpi said the town Committee elections in Karbi Anglong will soon be conducted and hoped that the Howraghat Town Committee will be won by BJP.
He also appreciated CEM Tuliram Ronghang and said under his leadership changes are seen.
He laid foundation for implementation of various development schemes in Howraghat MAC constituency in presence of Howraghat MLA Joyram Engleng, EMs and MACs.
The CEM laid the foundation for construction of mini stadium with auditorium, open stage and gallery with an amount of Rs 10 crore at Howraghat under Special Package and also laid foundation for construction of PMAY (Urban) at the resident of Tilotama Panika in Ward No. III of Howraghat town. Ronghang also inaugurated renovation and modernisation of Howraghat Primary Health Centre and Community Health Centre.
The CEM further distributed Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana LPG gas connection for housewives. Ducks were also distributed by Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department.
