KOKRAJHAR, March 20: The ruling BPF party has vowed to put their own candidate at Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat in the ensuing 2019 parliamentary elections. The party informed this at its 8th Policy Making Body (PMB) meeting held at Bathow complex in Kokrajhar on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by party supremo Hagrama Mohilary and all PMB members. PMB is the highest decision making body of the party.
The meet discussed on various issues and agendas of the party affairs, which included party welfare organisation, social integration uplift, panchayat elections etc.
Addressing the media after the meet, Mohilary said that there would be no difference in alliance with BJP even if they (BPF) put their own candidate in the next Lok Sabha elections for Kokrajhar seat. He however said that there would be no alliance if BJP puts their own candidate.
“BPF party will hold its CWC meeting on March 23 in Udalguri to discuss over the ensuing panchayat elections”, Mohilary informed.
Among others, Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary, several MLAs also participated in the meet.
