Namrup, Aug 19: A free medical camp was organised by Brihotor Asomiya Yuba Mancha regional committee in collaboration with Brihotor Asomiya Yuba Mancha district committee and Assam Medical College Dibrugarh at Dilli Dowonia Lower Primary School campus in Namrup on Sunday. BVFCL chief administrative officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee attended the medical camp as chief guest. A team of 10 doctors from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh presided over the camp to check the patients. The team included – Dr. Komal Agarwal and Dr. Manali Dekaraja (Skin specialist), Dr. Ariful Islam and Dr. Rupak Patir (Medicine) , Sanatanu Gogoi and Raisha Tandan (PGT) of Eye specialist, Dr. Kalyan Kumar Nath, Dr Rakesh Talukdar of ENT and Ansumewi Daimary, Deepashree Das (PG) of child specialist. The camp was a huge success and was attended by approximately 350 people from neighbouring areas and villages as well. Free preliminary diagnostics and medicines were also distributed to the patients. The medical camp was appreciated by all people as it was beneficial to women, children and underprivileged persons of the villages. The public hugely appreciated the yeoman efforts of Brihotor Asomiya Yuba Mancha and requested that such camps should be held more frequently. Guest present in the camp were District President Bhoben Sonowal, Secretary Dhrubo Jyoti Gogoi, Regional Committee President Prasanta Gogoi, Secretary Jayanta Singh and also the Brihotor Asomiya Mahila Mansa regional committee President Gauri Subedar Borah and general Secretary Rupali Saikia.
