BSF apprehends 2 smugglers along Indo-Bangla border

GUWAHATI, April 7: 100 Bn BSF under the aegis of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended 2 Indian smugglers and recovered a pistol and a cattle head from their possession on April 7. They were apprehended from the bordering Gitaldamaricha village under Sitalkuchi Police Station in Coochbehar district. As per information, BSF troops of Lalbazar border outpost carried out a special operation close to Indo-Bangladesh border during which they observed suspicious movement of the miscreants along with cattle heads from the Indian side. The troops immediately rushed towards them who on seeing them tried to flee from the spot. The alert BSF soldiers however, apprehended the smugglers who have been identified as Mohabir Mia (26), son of Ahad Ali, resident of Petla Nepra village and Lukmaan Mia (38), son of Lt Bhola Mia, resident of Gandhabari village.
