BSF celebrates Raksha Bandhan at Frontier HQ in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, Aug 30: The Border Security Force’s Frontier HQ in Guwahati experienced moments of joy and celebration as Raksha Bandhan, the festival symbolising the bond of protection, was observed with fervour on Wednesday.

A special program was meticulously organised at the BSF Frontier HQ in Guwahati, graced by the presence of members from the Seemanta Chetana Mancha Purvottar and Tanishq Golden Harvest, Guwahati. Chandra Parkash, commandant of the Frontier HQ BSF Guwahati, extended a warm welcome to the representatives of these organisations. He expressed sincere gratitude for their presence amongst the troops who tirelessly stand away from their families and homes, ensuring the country’s security and integrity throughout the year.

The members from the participating social organisations tied Rakhi, the sacred thread of protection, on the wrists of the BSF personnel. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation from officers, subordinate officers, and border men of the Frontier HQ.

On this Raksha Bandhan, BSF troops reaffirmed their commitment and loyalty to ensuring the safety and security of the border population. The festival serves as a reminder of their duty towards their loved ones and fellow citizens. BSF remains steadfast in its dedication to fostering peace, harmony, and confidence within the border population, upholding its mission of safeguarding the nation’s borders.
