GUWAHATI, Jan 17: A high-level delegation of Election Commission of India (ECI) under the leadership of chief election commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora will visit poll-bound Assam from January 18 to 20, an official release said here on Sunday.
Arora accompanied by election commissioner Sushil Chandra and election commissioner Rajiv Kumar will arrive in Guwahati on Monday morning, the release said.
The EC will be accompanied by director general of Election Commission Dharmendra Sharma, deputy election commissioner Chandra Bhushan Kumar, additional director general and EC spokesperson Sheyphali B Sharan and other senior EC officials.
The CEC will hold meeting with chief secretary, home secretary, director general of police (DGP), chief electoral officer (CEO), police nodal officer, political parties, election related regulatory agencies, district election offices and superintendent of police and other senior officials at Hotel Radisson Blu here.
The CEC will also hold a press conference before he leaves for New Delhi.
