GUWAHATI, April 23: In view of surge of Covid-19 positive cases at Seeta Nath Brahma Choudhury Hostel under Cotton State University, the registrar of the varsity has asked all hostellers and staff of SNBC Hostel to vacate the hostel by 2 pm on April 25.
The notification was issued with the approval of the vice chancellor of Cotton State University.
In an earlier notification on April 22, the Cotton State University decided to conduct special examinations for the Covid-19 infected for the Undergraduate first semester students.
A notice by the varsity further mentioned that if any student is found to be infected with Covid-19 during the time of examination or seven days prior to the examination, a special exam will be conducted in such a situation.
Moreover, if any student has to be home quarantined due to Covid-19 during examinations or seven days prior, they will receive the facility of special examination.
The notification by the university released on Thursday mentioned, “The University will conduct a special examination at a convenient date on submission of valid documents.”
It is also to be mentioned here that the Undergraduate first semester examinations are scheduled to be held from Friday.
