KARIMGANJ, Jan 11: “We have taken up this field visit programme so that the implementation of the rural development schemes may speed up and the concerned implementing agencies could be inspired to perform their duties dedicatedly. Our honourable chief minister is also for the all round development of the rural areas of our state,” said Panchayat & Rural Development (P & RD) Department, Assam minister Naba Kr Doley in his interaction with the media persons during his field visit for inspecting various schemes of Gaon Panchayats in Karimganj district. He also said that he has seen satisfaction in the face of the beneficiaries at the time of interaction with them during field visit which proves that this government since its inception is trying to uplift the poor section of the rural areas for their development.
It may be mentioned that in his three days visit to Barak Valley, minister Doley on Thursday visited various schemes of Badarpur, Durlavchera and R K Nagar Development Block of Karimganj district. After his field visit Minister Doley conducts a review meeting with the district officials of the department along with all GP Secretaries of the concern Gaon Panchayats on various schemes implemented by P & RD department in the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner, Karimganj. DC, Karimganj Pradip Kr Talukdar, Local MLA Krishnendu Paul, M R Das, Chairman of Industrial Development Corporation of Assam are also present in the review meeting. In the meeting Minister Doley stresses upon speedy implementation of the P & RD schemes in Karimganj district and directed all concern to complete all incomplete schemes within this current financial year. The Secretary, P & RD Nazrul Islam, Joint Secretary Khageswar Pegu and other officials of P & RD Department are also present in the review meeting. The review meeting is continuing till this reporting time.
