Guwahati to Host Nat’l Meet on Child Rights

GUWAHATI, Dec 9: Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights is organising a one day national level consultation on child rights with special focus on substance abuse and child trafficking at Assam Administrative Staff College on Friday.

Dr. Ranoj Pegu, minister of Education and Ajanta Neog, minister of Finance and Social Welfare will grace the occasion as special invited guests. The chairperson of NCPCR Priyank Kanoogo will be the keynote speaker in the programme. The consultation will be attended by chairpersons, members and other representatives from various State Child Rights Commissions.

Dr. PM Nair, advisor and expert Resource Faculty, National Resource Centre of Human Trafficking, Raksha Shakti University, Ahmedabad; Debajit Kumar Das, advocate, Gauhati High Court, Adjunct Faculty, National Law University & Judicial Academy, Assam and Shaista Khan Shah, senior technical expert of NCPCR will attend the programme as resource persons.
