KOKRAJHAR, APRIL 22: Kokrajhar health services joint director Dr Jahiruddin Ahmed has revealed that scarcity of man power has been creating problem to the ongoing management of Covid-19 situation in the district.
To tackle the issue he has urged the Kokrajhar DC to deploy more human resources in the district.
Meanwhile, the Kokrajhar district administration and health authority have been preparing to combat the second wave of Covid-19 situation in the entire Kokrajhar.
Altogether 16 health testing centres have been set up in all entry points including railway station, bus stations across the district to check spread of Covid-19.
Health staff, officers and district administration officers are engaged to tackle the situation in the district, an official said.
A total 152 persons were detected Covid-19 positive till date including 19 fresh cases been reported on Thursday.
Strict vigil has also been maintained along the inter-state border gate at Srirampur with West Bengal.
All detected Covid-19 positive persons have been kept in the designated hospital and Covid care hospitals in the district.
Ahmed informed that several hospitals in the district is going to be set up as designated Covid care hospitals within a short span of time and necessary proposals have sent to the higher authorities for the approval.
He has urged the citizens to maintain social distance and adhere to use of hands sanitization to combat Covid-19.
Meanwhile,Assam social welfare minister Pramila Rani Brahma took Covaxin on Thursday at Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital.
