GUWAHATI, Dec 2: As part of the National Awareness Campaign, the Ministry of Power is organising a painting competition for students at the state and national levels in order to promote energy conservation. The nationwide painting competition on ‘Energy Conservation 2021’ for school students is being organised in Assam with the help of CPSU ‘POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED’ with active cooperation from the state government in two groups, Group A for 5th to 8th standard and B for 9th to 10th standard.
In Guwahati, the painting competition is scheduled to be held at Panjabari, at the auditorium of Shilpgram, North East Zone Cultural Centre on December 4 for Group A & December 5 for Group B respectively and other centres/schools of different districts of Assam during the first week of December 2021 under the co-ordination of district mission coordinators, Sarba Siksha Abhiyan, Assam.
In co-operation of Samagra Siksha Assam and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Cachar district department of Education of both Elementary and Secondary had conducted a painting competition on Energy Conservation on Dec 1 in all schools for mass awareness and specially in 8 host schools namely: Narsing Higher Secondary School, Govt Boys Higher Secondary, Govt Girls HS & MP School, DNNK Girls Higher Secondary School, Tarapur Girls High School, Netaji Vidyabhawan Girls High School, Sonai NG Higher Secondary School and Zilkadar Ali Higher Secondary School, following appropriate Covid protocols.
In Kamrup Rural, the competition is scheduled to be held at Chaygaon and Hajo on December 3 and 4. The programme for the distribution of prizes to the winners of State level Painting Competition will be organised on December 11 from 3 PM onwards at the auditorium of Shilpgram, Panjabari, Guwahati which is to be attended by distinguished dignitaries wherein up to 13 awardees of each group shall be felicitated.
