Mohilary lays foundation PMAY-G houses in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, Aug 6: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohilary ceremonially laid the foundation stone to construct Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) houses at Jaoliapara Duramari under Simbargaon VCDC in Kokrajhar district on Tuesday and handed over the sanction letter among the beneficiaries on the occasion. The houses are being constructed for the below poverty line (BPL) families to make healthy living across the country.

Notably, there are nearly 600 PMAY-G houses to be constructed in five development blocks in Kokrajhar district and each of the houses would be constructed with an amount of INR 1.30 lakh. Assam Social welfare minister Pramila Rani Brahma also laid the foundation stone for construction of PMAY-G house scheme at Bhotgaon and handed over sanction letter of the scheme among the beneficiaries.

Mohilary while highlighting the need for PMAY-G scheme said that BJP led alliance government was working for the development of the common people across the state and that the houses would be constructed as per the scheme allotted. Adding to this he stated that necessary human welfare schemes are also being initiated from the government end.
