LAKHIMPUR, June10: “BJP-led Assam government has completed 30 days and the government proves the proverb ‘Morning shows the day’,” both Lakhimpur MP Pradan Baruah and Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka said so in a press meet held on Thursday at the North Lakhimpur Press Club.
He said this on the occasion of successful completion of a month of BJP-led Assam government under the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sarma. Baruah mentioned in detail about the developmental works completed and planned by the state government during the past 30 days.
“In these days of Covid pandemic, the state government has done a lot of developments for the people of the state. The government has taken a large share in the Numaligarh Refinery Limited. The beneficiaries of any scheme will get their money on the 10th of every month from the GPs. One guardian minister for every district is appointed who will vigil the concerned district regularly and that minister will scrutinise the problems of the district,” Baruah said.
“The chief minister has made the vaccination drive into a mass movement. The government promised to provide one lakh jobs to the unemployed youths. 10 police battalions will be formed and 35,000 youths will be appointed here. The major issues such as flood, erosion and unemployment, the chief minister has paid utmost attention to solve these by taking various plans and programmes,” he said.
