Nagaland State Commission for Women chairperson Khrienuo Tachu, in her guest of honour address, congratulated the CEO, MD and colleagues of the Eduversity Group for coming up with such a great initiative with special focus on girl students.

Tachu said the Naga women in this 21st century are more informed and equipped. She hoped this initiative will empower and lead the Naga women to another level.

In his keynote address, chief operating officer, Eduversity Group, Prakash Nayak, said the initiative is for the girl students of the institution to cope with their monthly cycle without compromising on their studies and classes.

Under the initiative, a girl student gets a two-day leave during the initial period of menstrual cycle, which is considered as the peak of any discomfort, he said. According to him, the leave would be on a voluntary basis and the classes missed will be compensated on Saturdays.
