Nagaon MLA inaugurates social services by Lions Club

NAGAON, July 25: Local MLA Rupak Sarma inaugurated a slew of children’s parks and a passenger waiting shed constructed on NH-37 bypass road near Demow as well as Borghat Chariali by Nagaon Lions Club on Sunday. The MLA first inaugurated the passenger waiting shed constructed by the club under the financial assistance of club member Shankar Lal Verma and his family near Demow. Besides, MLA Sarma also inaugurated two other children’s parks at Bebejia and Borghat. Meanwhile, a statue of a lion at its office campus in the town was also unveiled by MLA Sarma.

Significantly, MLA Sarma donated 10 oxygen cylinders to Nagaon Lions Club at the statue unveiling ceremony function. The president of the club Mala Sarma Bordoloi, outgoing president of the club Pralay Kr Shaha, Biswajit Mahanta, Ajoy Mittal, Jiten Agarwal, Ganga Ballabh Goswami, Ranjit Tamuli Phukon, Madan Shaha, and other club members were present during the program.
