NALBARI, June 17: Deputy Commissioner of Nalbari Bharat Bhusan Dev Choudhury discussed about the price rise of essential commodities with The Chambers of Commerce, Nalbari and Tihu.
The DC urged the businessmen not to increase the prices of commodities frequently and asked the businessmen to inform the rate of price to the district administration Nalbari daily. He strictly ordered the businessmen not to create artificial scarcity to increase prices.
The DC also warned of strict actions if found not following the orders and selling edible products without food safety officers permission. He urged the businessmen to stock essential commodities for distribution in the time of flood. Gunajit Roy Choudhury ADC (supply), Nalbari; Sasin Patgiri, Superintendent of Supply; Thiren Ranjan Pathak, Senior Supply Inspector among others were present in the meeting.
