Web portals must maintain the rules and regulations of Companies Act
NAGAON, Dec 15: State Water Resource and DIPRO as well as the district in-charge minister Pijush Hazarika on Wednesday visited the office of the deputy commissioner, Nagaon and attended the review meeting held at the DC’s conference hall.
During the meeting, the minister reviewed various development schemes being implemented under various departments in the district and was also apprised by the officials concerned.
Local MLA Rupak Sarma, Barhampur MLA Jitu Goswami, deputy commissioner, superintendent of police and other public representatives of the district as well as other officials of district administration were present in the meeting.
While interacting with the local media persons here after the meeting, the minister said that the state government will be stricter against criminals.
Referring to the web portal media, he also said that the government will not ban web portals, but these portals must maintain the rules and regulations of the Companies Act and also register themselves, for which the government will pass an act soon, Hazarika added.
