ABHAYAPURI, June 10: At a time when online education has been prioritised, students of Srijangram in Bongaigaon have been facing problems owing to poor internet connectivity.
The local people, particularly the student community, have been facing issues because of the poor mobile network. The students said networks of almost all the service providers in the Srijangram area were pathetic.
Therefore, the students have been facing troubles in attending the online classes. Students preparing for class 10 and 12 board exams were the worst sufferers.
Hirak Das who has been preparing both for class 12 and medical entrance was one among them.
“It has become difficult to attend the online classes because of the poor network. We have to use the internet to gather different study materials also. But here in Srijangram, slow internet speed is the biggest problem,” Hirak said.
The local people alleged that mobile network providers are paying no heed to the issues faced by the people.
“A Jio tower has been installed at my house. But ironically, the internet speed at my house itself is very slow,” said Dwipjyoti Ray, a local journalist.
