Pramila confident of winning Kokrajhar East constituency

KOKRAJHAR, APRIL 29: Assam social welfare minister and Kokrajhar East constituency BPF candidate Pramila Rani Brahma has expressed hope of winning the assembly election for the straight seventh term.

In a media interview in Kokrajhar on Thursday, Brahma who has contested the assembly election for straight seventh term from Kokrajhar East constituency said that she received massive support from all corners of the society in the election.

She said that the Mahajot will be forming a state government by winning majority seats in the state.

She said that this time her BPF party contested in all 12 constituencies under the alliance of Congress led Mahajot.

She was hopeful that the BPF party would win 10 seats of the contesting 12 constituencies in four districts of the Bodoland Territorial Council.

She has alleged that BJP and UPPL party has used money and muscle power for rigging during the assembly elections.

She has also expressed resentment over the imposition of night curfew in the wake of Covid-19 situation across the state.

She has urged all citizens to maintain social distancing and adhere to Covid protocol to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, UPPL secretary and UPPL candidate for Kokrajhar East constituency, Lawrence Islary has also expressed confidence of winning the Kokrajhar East constituency.

He said that this time people from all corners had voted for upliftment and development in the society and accordingly his candidature is getting the last laugh from the constituency.

Notably, there was a tough contest between BPF and UPPL candidates in Kokrajhar East constituency.
