Rs 4.39 lakh looted from SBI

NAGAON, Oct 17: A group of cyber frauds looted Rs 4.39 lakh from a customer of Nagaon branch of State Bank of India (SBI) through the green channel counter (GCC) of the bank branch.

The victim customer Bokul Sarma is a retired employee of the state irrigation department.

The victim came to know the incident when he updated his pass book at the bank counter on Thursday morning.

The customer Sarma noticed that an amount of Rs 4,39,989 has been transferred to two other accounts through GCC within October 6 to 15 without his knowledge. Sarma has lodged an FIR with Nagaon Sadar Police Station in this regard. Sarma is a resident of Nagaon Mahouriati.
