Guwahati, May 15: The Board of Secondary Education Assam(SEBA) announced the result of the High School leaving certificate examination , 2019 on Wednesday. Meghashree Borah from Sankardev Shishu Bidya Niketan, Narayanpur (Lakhimpur) secured first position obtaining 594 marks out of 600 marks. Chinmoy Hazarika and Pratyasha Medhi bagged the second position from Don Bosco High School, Baghchung(Jorhat) and St. Mary’s HS School, Guwahati securing 593 marks out of 600. The third rank was shared by Afreen Ahmed and Anushree Bhuyan from Christjyoti School Nagaon and St. Mary’s HS School, Guwahati securing 591 marks respectively. A total of 336203 candidates appeared in the examination. Out of it 48599 scored first division. The pass percentage of HSLC 2019 examination is 60.23. Following this girls percentage score is 57.99 and boys percentage is 62.69 per cent. District-wise Dhemaji topped the merit list. Among the total 12,650 candidates who had appeared in the examination from Dhemaji, 10535 passed the exam with a pass percentage of 83.28. 1782 secured first division, 4039 second division and 4714 got third position from Dhemaji. Sivasagar came second with a pass percentage of 70.20 and Nalbari secured third position with 70.08 per cent.
