Shah to visit Kokrajhar on Jan 24

KOKRAJHAR, Jan 11: Union home minister Amit Shah will visit Kokrajhar on January 24 to attend the first anniversary of signing of memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Centre, state government, All Bodo Students Union (ABSU), United Bodo People’s Organisation (UBPO) and four factions of National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) on January 27, 2020.

“Preparation is going on at Green Field in Bodofa Nwgwr for the first anniversary celebration,” Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Pramod Boro said here on Monday.

“The anniversary will begin from January 24 with a week-long programme,” Boro said.

Boro has visited Green Field on Monday to review the preparatory works for the celebrations.

Boro also inaugurated newly-constructed Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Girl’s Hostel at Titaguri High School complex on Monday.

The hostel building was constructed under the Sarba Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) of state education department.
