Sonowal releases Sekhar Engti’s new book on Sixth Schedule

DIPHU, June 24: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal has released a book titled “A Critique on the Working of the Sixth Schedule” written by Shekhar Engti on the occasion of 67th foundation day of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) here on Saturday.

CEM Tuliram Ronghang was also present in the programme.

The writer Engti  is the additional director of directorate of information and public relation (DIPR) in Guwahati.

In the book, the writer tried to anlayse the conflict and formation of Sixth Schedule and the working on Hills Tribal Autonomous Council of North East India.

Engti, who  had already published three books  — “An abridgement on important legal issues”, “Basic elements of news story writing” and “The Administration of Assam Hills Autonomous districts” — is a regular columnist of The Hills Times.
