Guwahati, Jan 12: A group of tourists from South India narrowly escaped after a tourist jeep was attacked by an one horned rhino during jeep safari in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park on Friday.
According to the reports, all member of the tourist group travelled in the vehicle survived the rhino attack without any severe injuries.
One member of the tourist group Sojan Jose who travelled in the vehicle describes the rhino attack and tweeted that, “The rhino attacked the vehicle and lifted it in air for few seconds. A forest guard fired a shot but couldn’t fire the second one as bullet got stuck. Driver failed to start the vehicle. Rhino panicked in between and left. Jeep finally started and we escaped.”
Few rhino attack incidents also took place in the national park in previous times.
