Although Police Blues played good soccer in the match and came close to score on several occasions but were successful only once.

It was ASEBSC who scored first goal in the match in 19 minutes. Maneswar Musahary headed in nice a corner kick which was taken by Karma Narzary. John Sangte returned the goal in the 31 minutes and the score line read 1-1 in the lemon break. In the second half, AP Blues mounted huge pressure on ASEBSC to earn lead and managed to reach very close to score. However all the opportunities were wasted.
