GDSA Girls Football League concludes
DIPHU, Nov 18: Lenlai FC collected 15 points to become the champions of the 1st Greater Diphu Sports Association (GDSA) Girls Football League, which ended at Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) stadium here on Wednesday. The league was organised by GDSA.
With five matches played during the whole season Lenlai FC topped the points table with collecting 15 points, while Peklar FC collected 8 points to conclude their campaign as runner’s up.
In the last league match played on Wednesday, Lenlai FC scored a goal through Semey Giute in the 12th minute against Daldali FC.
In the prize distribution function held at the end of the match Karbi Anglong, chief executive member (CEM), KAAC and president, KASA, Tuliram Ronghang presented a champions trophy to the champion team Lenlai FC. The runners up team Peklar FC also received trophy.
The highest scorer award was given to Serbika Terangpi of Daldali FC. She scored 5 goals in the whole season. Best player was given to Bika Teronpi of Daldali FC and best goal keeper to Boite Guite of Lenlai FC. The prize distribution function was attended by Karbi Anglong, chief executive member (CEM), KAAC and president, KASA Tuliram Ronghang; EM Amarsing Tisso, MACs Dorsing Ronghang and Richard Tokbi and KASA general secretary, Pankaj Teron; GDSA, president, Gautam Terang and KASA football secretary, Horen Ingti Kathar.
