No alliance with BPF, says Congress leader Durga Das Boro

KOKRAJHAR, Sept 11: “Congress party is well prepared to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections due in 2019 next on its own in BTAD. No alliance would be made with ruling BPF,” claimed Congress leader Durga Das Boro.

Talking exclusively with this correspondent in Kokrajhar on Tuesday, Durga Das Boro said that the Congress party is totally prepared to contest in upcoming Lok Sabha election in BTAD as citizens are extending full support to Congress party for healthy governance and integration. He claimed that at present people want good governance in the state, so Congress is the only alternative. He said that BPF party, who is the alliance partner in the state government, has failed to provide good governance in BTAD region, so now common public are supporting the Congress party without any hesitation. He said that Congress party will contest in the upcoming parliamentary election in BTAD and no alliance would be held with BPF party. He has also criticised sitting Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania(Hira) for his failure to look after people’s welfare and integrity in the region. He alleged that Sarania has been involved with many cases till today.

Slamming the BJP-led NDA government, the Congress leader said that the government has failed to fulfil hopes and aspirations of the people as promised during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He has blamed the PM for uncontrolled price hikes of all essential commodities. He has also accused that PM Modi for showing negligent attitude towards the welfare of the people of the country.

Durga Das Boro also criticised the present government and said that the BJP-led NDA government has been misleading the country by making huge expenses over the Rafael deal.
